avoids exposure to hazardous blood and platelet samples. The ADAM specifically images the nuclei of somatic cells (which should be present at very low levels in milk from healthy cows) for a 100 ul sample volume. The results are amazing and this system can precisely determine the quantity of cells between 5 x 10(4) to 1.5x10(6) somatic cells per milliliter with %CV of 3% and less. The ADAM SCC compares favorably with FACS and other techniques, making it the easy choice for monitoring milk quality.
