Did you know that presence of white blood cells and epithelial cells is highly correlated with mastisis infection? Determining milk quality at the earliest possible stage is the best way to improve production, increase shelf life and identify cows requiring antibiotic treatments. avoids exposure to hazardous blood and platelet samples. The ADAM specifically images the nuclei of somatic cells (which should be present at very low levels in milk from healthy cows) for a 100 ul sample volume. The results are amazing and this system can precisely determine the quantity of cells between 5 x 10(4) to 1.5x10(6) somatic cells per milliliter with %CV of 3% and less. The ADAM SCC compares favorably with FACS and other techniques, making it the easy choice for monitoring milk quality.

The ADAM SCC is designed to be incredibly easy to use with almost no chance for human introduced errors. From its disposable chip set that minimizes risk of contamination – greatly simplifies work flow and eliminates the need for calibration and regular cleaning – to its on board analysis that obviates an external computer and allows operation with a few key strokes.
