At under $2 per reaction, our new RT-PCR kits offer a low cost option for production of cDNAs. With two choices, the BioRT One-Step RT-PCR kit offers a simple protocol when analyzing <4 kb mRNAs. For longer cDNAs, the BioRT Two-Step kit can produce cDNAs up to 12 kb from even low abundance targets. Both kits have highly engineered buffers and components that typically eliminate the need for optimization.

Two steps for when it really matters the most

BioRT Two-Step RT-PCR Kit is designed for RNA samples from various sources, such as  total RNA, mRNA, viral RNA, and in vitro transcribed RNA.  This is based upon the premise that physically separate the reverse transcription and PCR steps can be highly optimized and provide the very best results.  The kit includes both random primers(hexamer) and oligo(dT18) primers – the choice is yours.   Using our enhanced reverse transcriptase derived from AMV, the cDNA synthesis can occur at an elevated temperature (60°C).  This provides highly efficient synthesis of cDNAs from RNAs with more complex secondary structure.  And a novel RNAseH Inhibitor binds to the reverse transcriptase preventing degradation of RNA during synthesis – guaranteeing extra long cDNAs without further optimization.  During the PCR phase, a high fidelity Taq polymerase promises great yields, low errors and long products.  This is the product for the most demanding applications and analyses.

 

One step for quick and easy results

Unlike the two-step method, in which the RT and PCR are performed in separate tubes, BioRT One-Step RT-PCR Kit is simple one tube protocol that promises sensitive results from many different RNA sources.  A unique combination of enzymes, the AMV RT found in the 2-Step kit and a hot start PCR enzyme, and carefully engineered buffer can synthesize amplified cDNAs of up to 4kb.  The hot start Taq polymerase is ideal for suppressing the formation of primer dimmers during the RT phase, typically lethal to good amplification.  Because the tube lid never opens after initiating the RT phase, this easy method also reduces the chances of cross contamination and user-induced errors.  This kit is a perfect combination of enzymes suitable for gene expression analysis, virus detection, single cell RT-PCR and many more applications.
