Often, proteins can only be purified from total cellular extracts using denaturing conditions. And even when applying mild conditions, some proteins can only be purified in a denatured state. This is particularly true for larger proteins with complicated structures. When refolding these proteins, columns are needed to completely remove the denaturants, different proteins require different folding conditions, and stablizing conditions for the folding intermediates often helps yeild the correctly folded protein. The DUALrefold system integrates all these three factors and provides a refolding kit which is both very efficient and easy to use.

No dialysis, no dilution

Using the DUALrefold soluble protein refolding kit, optimal protein folding conditions can be quickly identified by a simple bench-top centrifugation and incubation procedure using the included ten differnt column/conditions. No tedious dialysis or high ratio dilutions are needed. No special equipment or protein folding experience is required to use this folding kit. Once the optimal conditions are established, we offer small scale DUALrefold protein folding columns for 0.6 - 1.2 mg of preparative protein folding in each column or large scale DUALrefold protein folding columns for 5 -10 mg of prepreparative protein folding in each column.
