The LumaScope 620 Three-Color Fluorescence Live Cell Microscope triples the analysis power of its younger cousin, the LumaScope 500.  Features such as auto-acquisition and multi-channel imaging are only available with expensive imaging systems. The LumaScope 620 is the first multi-color, time-lapse, inverted microscope intentionally designed to strip away all unnecessary elements for added reliability and a dramatically lower price.  What remains is a quirky box that pushes the edge of image quality and acquisition.  The system functions in bright field and three-channel fluorescence modes, providing stellar resolution in a variety of differing lighting conditions.  It comes standard with a 5-filter "Pinkel" triple-band set with 3 exciters, a triple-band emitter filter and beam splitter filters. Ideal for DAPI, FITC, GFP, mCherry, and Texas Red – the three fluorescence channels can be overlaid with the corresponding bright field image for triple staining experiments. In addtiion to easly fitting inside an incubator, the system is also very nice for remote or classroom conditions, or simply as an affordable microscope that sits in an out-of-the-way location on your lab bench. No matter how it gets used, the LumaScope 600 is sure to become a lab favorite for your microscopy experiments.

Flexible enough to answer most questions

Let’s propose some questions and see if the LumaScope is clever enough for an answer.  Can it replace my existing microscope?  Certainly, the LumaScope is a full functioning microscope with the ability to visualize cells on slides, flasks and plates.  Is it easy to set-up?  Simply connect to a local computer with a USB cable – that’s enough to both control and power the microscope. Need to acquire images in an incubator?  That’s simple too. Simply place it on a shelf, no need to remove other shelves.  Want a broader field of view?  Try the 10x objective.  Need to study subcellular structures? Try swapping in the 40x objective for high resolution imaging.  Can it do time lapse studies?  That’s what the LumaScope is designed for.  Program it to acquire images over seconds, minutes, hours or days – the applications are unlimited.

A microscope that can go anywhere

The LumaScope 620 This system has a very small footprint making

it perfectly suited for automated image acquisition directly inside a

cell culture incubator (or hypoxia chamber)– no perturbation of delicate

cells and no expensive environmental stage required. In fact, up to four

systems can be placed in a traditional incubator. Additionally, the system

is powered from a single USB connection allowing for maximum

portibility into the field.

 

 

 

 

 

Now with real video frame rate recording

Do you need the ability to record live video using a very fast frame rate? With the LumaScope 620, you can now record beautiful images with a speed of up to 10 frames per second (10Hz). You can now perform applications that require fast image capture such as recording calcium transients in beating myocytes. This feature is normally found only on much more expensive microscopes but comes standard wth the LumaScope 600.
