The MEGAquick-spin PCR and Agarose Gel DNA Extraction system is designed to extract and purify DNA fragments of 87bp - 20kb from normal or low-melt agarose gels in either Tris-acetate-EDTA (TAE) or Tris-borate-EDTA (TBE) buffers. The kit can also purify PCR products directly from a PCR sample (removing primer dimers) and perform DNA clean up from other enzymatic reactions with a recovery of up to 95%. As an added convenience not commonly found in other gel extraction procedures, the agarose gel lysis buffer (BNL Buffer) supplied contains a color indicator that allows easy monitoring of the solution pH for optimal DNA binding. This spin column-based system can bind up to 40 μg of DNA and allows recovery of isolated DNA fragments or PCR products in as little as 20 minutes, depending on the number of samples processed and the protocol used.
