April 14, 2016 – High Throughput Cell Counting from Bulldog Bio

 

On the heels of a record 2015, Bulldog Bio introduces a new type of disposable hemocytometer aimed at labs looking to conserve budget expenditures. The 4-Chip Hemocytometer is a 4-chamber, disposable counting slide compatible with any microscope set-up. Incorporating the popular Neubauer Improved grid, the 4-Chip allows four independent counts per slide -- without loss of data quality and at the same price as single or 2-chamber slide.

 

"The design is unique in that the loading and counting process remains unchanged, even though there are now 4-chambers per slide. This effectively halves the cost to a lab for performing manual cell counts, to about 50-cents" says David Unger, owner at Bulldog Bio. "We've had a great response from our testing labs, and feel this product will help any lab that's looking to save their dimes or to move away from cleaning glass hemocytometers."

September 18th, 2014 – Bulldog Bio Offered Exclusive Access to Newest Glycobiology Technology

 

N-Zyme Scientifics has appointed Bulldog Bio as their exclusive distributor for a new class of PNGase enzyme.  Coined PNGase F Prime, this recombinant endoglycosidase shows a remarkable ability to cleave an exceedingly broad range of N-linked glycans from glycoproteins.  Not only are many new classes of glycans released, but the efficiency of cleavage results in much cleaner results via HPLC and mass spec analysis.  Bulldog Bio will be offering an “early adopter” sampling program to receive feedback and push the boundaries of this new enzyme.

Phase Holographic Imaging AB (based in Sweden) has awarded Bulldog Bio Inc. the exclusive right to distribute their new compact microscope for image cytometry. Based upon patented phase holographic imaging technology, controlled by PHI AB, these systems can detect and quantify cells during normal cell growth in common cell cultureware. Bulldog Bio will be responsible for all aspects of selling and supporting this product in research labs throughout the USA and Canada.

 

“The M4 Phase Holographic System is significantly different than our other offerings in the field of live cell imaging. February 28, 2012 – Bulldog Bio and Etaluma donate lab equipment to BioBus

 

Cell Motion BioBus, a not-for-profit organization with a mission to bring hands-on science education, in an authentic research lab setting, to schools nationwide, has accepted a donation of equipment from Bulldog Bio.  Among the laboratory equipment provided is the LumaScope Inverted Fluorescence Microscope – specifically designed by Etaluma as an affordable alternative for teaching labs.

 

Sarah Weisberg, a BioBus staff scientist, said in reference to the portability of the LumaScope system “We are very excited by the opportunity to offer our students access to a fluorescence microscope” and in reference to the 40x model “we are envisioning using this microscope primarily to study organelles inside of fixed cells”.

February 12, 2010 – Bulldog Bio Purchases All Assets from Bridge Bioscience

 

Bridge Bioscience Inc. has completed the transfer of all assets and intellectual property associated with the business to Bulldog Bio Incorporated. Bridge Bioscience has been manufacturing and providing high quality electroporation cuvettes for over eight years. These disposables are used for the delivery of DNA and RNA into a variety of eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. With this purchase Bulldog Bio will complement their existing lines of transfection products and establish a manufacturing base for the company.

Q.Instruments GmbH has offered its best selling line of mixing and incubation equipment, the BioShake series, to Bulldog Bio Inc. for distribution in the US. The partnership will provide Q.Instruments with a strong sales channel to deliver its patented lines of plate shakers and thermomixers to the US research community. Q.Instruments has already established the BioShake as a strong competitor in Europe, and is now looking to establish its brand in the US. September 10, 2009 – Genovis expands its US presence and signs distribution agreement with Bulldog Bio Inc.

 

Genovis provides novel technical solutions for Transfection, RNAi, Imaging and Antibody Engineering for customers involved in sophisticated research in the pharmaceutical industry and academic research community.

For two years the fully owned subsidiary Genovis Inc. has consistently built sales channels in the US. During this period several distribution agreements have been entered, and Genovis has thus decided to close down its subsidiary and to work only through distributors and collaborators in the US market.

June 3, 2009 – Bulldog Bio signs agreement with Medline

 

Bulldog Bio Inc. and Medline Inc. agree to an alliance for bringing Medline's flagship line of Labcare products to the life science market place. Bulldog Bio will market and sell Aloetouch and Remedy branded lines directly to the research community. "It is our belief that these lines will offer the pinnacle for improving the personal satisfaction of any bench researcher. We are surprised that these market-leading products haven't already made their way into research laboratories. And we feel fortunate to be the first to offer them to US scientific community."
