Genovis AB, developer and manufacturer of tools for transfection and antibody-engineering, has agreed to a one-year marketing collaboration with its US distributor – Bulldog Bio Inc. The agreement broadens an existing arrangement allowing for more extensive branding of Genovis’ products through marketing-based channels.

Bridge Bioscience Inc. has completed the transfer of all assets and intellectual property associated with the business to Bulldog Bio Incorporated. Bridge Bioscience has been manufacturing and providing high quality electroporation cuvettes for over eight years. These disposables are used for the delivery of DNA and RNA into a variety of eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. With this purchase Bulldog Bio will complement their existing lines of transfection products and establish a manufacturing base for the company.
Ella Fontaine, Vice President of Communications at Bulldog Bio stated “The business model developed by Bridge of offering direct from manufacturer pricing, will allow Bulldog Bio to continue to provide these quality products at a very affordable level.” She further remarked “Bridge Bioscience has always run as a profitable business and it is our intent to maintain the current sales channel. We will look to develop growth in new markets in which the Bridge Electroporation Cuvettes are currently not being sold.”
Q.Instruments GmbH has offered its best selling line of mixing and incubation equipment, the BioShake series, to Bulldog Bio Inc. for distribution in the US. The partnership will provide Q.Instruments with a strong sales channel to deliver its patented lines of plate shakers and thermomixers to the US research community. Q.Instruments has already established the BioShake as a strong competitor in Europe, and is now looking to establish its brand in the US. We look forward to using our extensive set of marketing tools to raise the brand awareness of the BioShake line.”

For two years the fully owned subsidiary Genovis Inc. has consistently built sales channels in the US. During this period several distribution agreements have been entered, and Genovis has thus decided to close down its subsidiary and to work only through distributors and collaborators in the US market.
