Clean Circulating LV (large volume) DNA Kits are designed for high throughput and reliable isolation of circulating cell-free (cf) DNA. This kit combines CleanNA’s proprietary magnetic particles with a unique binding system that targets smaller DNA fragments (120-400 bp). Elute ultra-pure cfDNA in as little as 50 µL from starting sample volumes between 1 mL and 4 mL of plasma or serum. The simple 4 step process (lyse, bind, wash, and elute) makes it easy for manual use or to be integrated into automated platform.

The kit is fully scalable with either tubes or 96-well plates. And due to the use of CleanNA’s magnetic bead purification technology can easily be automated on liquid handling workstations (e.g. Beckman, Hamilton, Tecan, Caliper, Perkin Elmer, Agilent and Eppendorf). The procedure eliminates the need for funnels, vacuum steps, or centrifuges providing hands-free operation on even the simplest automated platforms. The protocol is streamlined, efficient, and requires minimal work for your lab to get it running efficiently.

No genomic DNA, only small cfDNA
We used unspiked plasma and plasma spiked with 10 ng/mL genomic DNA to show the extraction of cfDNA. Dynamic Device’s LYNX LM900 performed the Clean Circulating LV extraction procedure. Afterwards, we analyzed the samples on the BiOptic Qsep100 bio-fragment analyzer. Our Clean Circulating LV Kit particularly binds small DNA fragments, meaning that the genomic DNA should not be visible in the results. The electropherogram in Figure 1 contains 8 samples of unspiked plasma and shows a cfDNA peak. For the gDNA spiked samples (Figure 2), a cfDNA peak shows at the same time, meaning that the Clean Circulating LV kit enriched the cfDNA.
