Clean Plant PK DNA Kit
Magnetic Bead-Based Plant DNA Purification System
No plant DNA can hide from this kit!
The Clean Plant PK DNA Kit allows rapid and reliable isolation of high-quality genomic DNA from a wide variety of plant species and tissues. The kit uses CleanNA’s proprietary magnetic beads with a CTAB (Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide) lysis + Proteinase K technique. The proprietary binding system prevents inhibitors from binding to the magnetic particles, promising great results from NGS and PCR assays. For labs that prioritize safety and ease of use, there are no organic extractions—thereby reducing plastic waste and decreasing hands-on time to allow for parallel processing of multiple samples. The technology combines CleanNA’s brilliant buffer chemistry with the convenience of their magnetic beads to easily eliminate polysaccharides, phenolic compounds, and enzyme inhibitors from plant tissue lysates. This versatile approach is especially suited to optimal recovery regardless of tissue source. Even “difficult” samples can be processed; hard-to-lyse samples, samples containing large proportions of polysaccharides, and samples containing high levels of polyphenols present no obstacle to Clean Plant PK. It’s efficient, too—up to 96 tissue samples (50 mg wet or 15 mg dry) can be processed in less than one hour, and it’s easy to scale down.
The proof is in the pudding, or in this case “PCR”ing
Clean Plant PK has been used for many sample types, and it’s been tested rigorously against other methods and products. Because the kit is designed for manual or fully automated high-throughput preparation of genomic, chloroplast, and mitochondrial DNA, a wide variety of assays are possible with this single kit. The purified DNA is suitable for PCR, restriction digestion, NGS, and hybridization applications. And it’s not just good by itself—as you can see below, CleanPlant PK stands tall amongst the competition, too!
