The same quality for a lower price
Bulldog Bio Electroporation Cuvettes can be used to efficiently transfer DNA, RNA or proteins into any cell types commonly used with electroporation instruments. While the color and shape of the caps may vary from brand to brand, all electroporation cuvettes must meet strict quality standards to ensure consistent pulse delivery and reproducible results. We purchased the molds and began manufacture of these cuvettes here in the USA back in 2010 and since that time have shipped millions of cuvettes to labs in North America. Our cuvettes are made under contract by a partner that is ISO 9001 certified, ITAR registered  and FDA registered. Over the years we have developed a quality assurance program to every measurable qualification and parameter.  They’re nearly of most other brands because we do not incur any additional costs. So we ask you—why pay more for equal or inferior quality?

Universal fit
This line of electroporation cuvettes is wholly owned by Bulldog Bio, so we take extra care to manufacture to tight physical tolerances for optimum fit. Since we proudly injection mold the cuvettes in Massachusetts, near our warehouse, we can ensure fast delivery and constant attention to quality. Bulldog Bio Electroporation Cuvettes fit in most electroporation systems, including those from Bio-Rad, BTX, Lonza/Amaxa (Nucleofector II and 2b only), Invitrogen, and Eppendorf. See the wide range of electroporation systems (made by our partner Nepa Gene) to see how these instruments can provide phenomenal results using Bulldog Bio’s cuvettes — primary cells, organoids, stem cells, marine protists, mammalian zygotes!

For a variety of applications
It is well documented that nucleic acid delivery via electroporation can achieve remarkable rates of transfer efficiency and maintain good cell viability, even for a variety of finicky human cell lines. In order to achieve the proper electrical field strength, Bulldog Bio’s electroporation cuvettes are carefully constructed with burr-free, specially-processed electrodes and virgin medical-grade polycarbonate. This results in cuvettes which provide superior results in the most discriminating applications. These include transforming heretofore impossible cell lines like diatoms and Chlamydomonas, transfecting super-sensitive cell lines like immune cells (T cells and B cells), and transfection of a range of stem cells with DNA plasmids, siRNAs, and even CRISPR/cas9 gene editing tools. Have questions?  We’d be happy to discuss these protocols in detail.

Available with or without sterile transfer pipettes. Chose from three gap widths—1 mm, 2 mm, and 4 mm (0.1 cm, 0.2 cm, and 0.4 cm)—it’s as simple as to suit your cells!

Compare us to our competitors
We are the guaranteed price leader for electroporation cuvettes. Our prices are lower than all of the companies listed here. If you find a lower list price for electroporation cuvettes online, contact us and we will match that price. *When buying 10 bags, otherwise $95 for a single bag of 50.

Gap size is important
Because cells vary dramatically in morphology and susceptibility to electrical disruption, Bulldog Bio Electroporation Cuvettes come with a variety of distances between the electrodes. These variations alter the resistance and current, providing weaker electric fields for more susceptible cell lines, such as those derived from humans.

– For the high-efficiency transformation of E. coli and other bacteria, use 1mm cuvettes
– For all types of mammalian cells, animal cells, bacteria, yeast, other fungi, plant cells, organoids, zygotes use 2mm cuvettes
– For larger quantities of animal cell lines such as insect, mammalian, and human cells, use 4mm cuvettes
