High-quality, cost-effective growth factors
These human recombinant growth factor proteins are produced with fully native post-translational modification (PTM) and glycosylation profiles. Unlike proteins expressed from non-human E. coli and CHO-based systems, which are truncated to eliminate the glycosylated peptide sequence, these proteins reflect complete PTM profiles and glycosylation moieties that closely resemble proteins produced in utero.

These high-quality, cost-effective growth factors are designed to promote optimal cell differentiation while lowering overall workflow costs. Discover the performance benefits of growth factor proteins with human PTMs, correct folding structure, and optimal stability.

We offer two different types of human growth factors with different size aliquots.

Human Recombinant Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor I (BDNF) Protein —Human Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) is an activity-dependent neurotrophic factor that supports neurons’ differentiation, maturation, and survival and also provides a neuroprotective effect under adverse conditions. BDNF stimulates and controls the growth of new neurons from neural stem cells.

BDNF binds to neurons of the central nervous and peripheral nervous systems, expressing tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrkB) and the low-affinity nerve growth factor receptor (p75). It also activates signal transduction cascades (IRS1/2), PI3K, Akt), crucial for CREB and CBP production, that encode proteins involved in neural plasticity, stress resistance, and cell survival.

Human Recombinant Colony-Stimulating Factor 1 Protein (CSF1/MCSF1) —Human Colony Stimulating Factor 1 (CSF1), also known as macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF), is a secreted cytokine that causes hematopoietic stem cells to differentiate into macrophages or other related cell types. This growth factor is involved in the proliferation, differentiation, and survival of hematopoietic precursor cells, especially mononuclear phagocytes, such as macrophages and monocytes.

CSF1 stimulates increased phagocytic and chemotactic activity of macrophages and monocytes. For hematopoietic progenitors, CSF1 interacts with membrane receptor CSR1R or M-CSF-R and modulates proliferation. CSF1 includes an Fc-fusion protein tag from human IgG1.

The Simplicity and Elegance of Yeast
These human recombinant growth factors are produced using a proprietary yeast-based expression platform.  The results are best-in-class proteins with fully native post-translational modification (PTM) and glycosylation profiles. Unlike proteins expressed from non-human E. coli and CHO-based systems, which are truncated to eliminate the glycosylated peptide sequence, our human recombinant growth factors reflect complete PTM profiles and glycosylation moieties that closely resemble proteins produced in utero.

These growth factors are designed to promote optimal cell differentiation while lowering overall workflow costs. Discover the performance benefits of growth factor proteins with human PTMs, correct folding structure, and optimal stability.
